Everybody should make plans to attend Blaine, Washington's 4th of July celebration! Make your plans now! I have not seen another 4th of July celebration as outstanding as Blaine's.
Suggestions?
Start off with Blaine's downtown celebration. It is huge, take lots of sun tan lotion spend the day. First on the agenda is a pancake breakfast, then the parade at noon. There are arts and crafts, rides on the historic Plover Ferry from Blaine to Semiahmoo Resort.
Don't forget to a tour of the historic "Show-n-Shine car show. There are some fantastic cars that show up in Blaine for the 4th. Check them out, you'll be glad you did.
Stick around until the sun goes down in Blaine and watch Blaine's fireworks.
OR
Take a ten minute ride down to Birch Bay, get the best location you can find next to the water and wait for the fireworks to begin.
From Birch Bay Village around the Bay to Point Whitehorn the sky lights up with fireworks like you 'may' have never seen. It is truly a sight and sound to behold.
