Lenders - Walking - Away - From - Foreclosures

Very interesting article appeared in the the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel dated Tuesday July 14, 2009.  It appears that lenders/lending institutions may have begun to take a different view regarding foreclosures.

Again, to restate what was said in a previous Blaine Area Blog, when you are considering a short sale, foreclosure, or deed in lieu, the first person(s) you should contact are your lender and or an attorney.

Getting in contact with either one or both the lender and an attorney is the 1st course of action you should take when considering a short sale or foreclosure on your property.

Not getting in contact or having no communication with your lender or attorney is the wrong course of action to take.

Communication is key!

If you have any questions, give me a call.

Birch Bay - July 4th 2009 Beyond Your Wildest Dreams

Birch Bay July 4th 2009 Fireworks Display

Everyone that went to Birch Bay on July 4th had more eye candy than should be allowed in one day.

The fireworks started about 8:45 and went in to full swing at about 9:15.  The extravaganza lasted about an hour and forty-five minutes.

Actually, it went on till around midnight.  I couldn't take it any more, had to call it a night.

It was phenomenal!

We were able to get seated at CJ's restaurant at about 8:30.  The food was great, the service was even better, the view of the fireworks from CJ's deck was beyond your wildest dreams.

The light show was from Semiahmoo on the far side,  to Birch Bay Village, down to Birch Bay, around to Point Whitehorn.

I kind of felt sorry for the people who went to Seattle, Lake Union.  The display lasted, I think, 20 minutes, 20 seconds...have no idea how long it took to get out of the traffic jam:)

If you missed The Birch Bay Fireworks Display 2009, try and be there for 2010.  With the Olympics on the way, might be better than Birch Bay 2009!

Semiahmoo Thursday Evening - Birch Bay On The 4th

Okay, maybe perfect isn't the perfect word to use for our perfect weather...but is has been perfect.

Last night about 6:00 we got the itch...we had to go to the beach.

We drove over to Semiahmoo, to the east side of the spit, took the shoes off and went into the water and walked the beach.

The water temperature was...perfect, tide was in.

Walking on the east side of the spit the views were all the way from White Rock, Canada to Mount Baker and the Twin Sisters.  The evening sky was crystal clear, almost no wind and the waves were small.

We walked the beach for about few hours, then went to the west side of the spit and watched the sun go down.

Yes, it was beyond your wildest dreams.

The breeze on the west side was a little stronger, the waves were about two feet.  It doesn't get much better.  Just sat and listened to the waves crashing the beach, enjoyed the cool breeze, watched the sun go down.

Sitting there I had to think about the traffic jams occuring right then in LA, Phoenix...you get the picture!

Don't forget July 4th, sundown, Birch Bay.  The best fireworks display this side of...and it is totally FREE!

I had to smile when I read the Seattle Times today.  They had an article about people being turned away at the Gas Works Park in Seattle.  Too many people.  Hmmm, let me see here:  no traffic jams, fresh air, the best free fire works around.  What am I missing.

We live in a beautiful area.
